Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded.
When I try to open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, it open and automatically closes and gives the error:
Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded.
I have Office 2007 Professional SP2
All other office programs(Word, Excel etc) are working. It is the first time I am getting such problem. Plz help.
Solution:
1. Go to Start --> Run
2. Type outlook.exe /resetnavpane and then press Enter
3. Run outlook again. It should be working fine

You can know that this file is corrupted when the file size of this is shown 0KB. You can resolve this error by getting on to Microsoft support’s official website and accessing the “Fix it for me” section or “Let me fix it myself” section... Select the “Control Panel”, type Mail in the Search Control Panel box. Click Mail > Show Profiles. On the General tab, Note the name of your Outlook profile. On the General tab if you see more than one profile, the default profile will be listed in the drop-down control under ‘When starting Microsoft Office Outlook’, use this profile. To close the Mail control panel, click ‘OK’... invalidxml
