Making Word multiuser: Plutext

To my mind, the killer feature of Google Docs is not that it is Web-based, per se. It's that it makes real-time collaboration easy. You can invite a user into a document you currently have open, and you both can edit the file at the same time. It's not a feature you're going to need all the time, but when you're on a deadline and need to get sign-off from one or more other person on a document right away, it's a life-saver (see also: Zooos). Installing Office 2003 and Office 2007 on the same system

The answer is yes, except for Outlook which as in previous versions get a little precious if this is attempted (it will not let you do this, btw). You can choose to have them both installed to the same drive or one to an external hard drive, it does not matter. The key option is when installing Office 2007 is to customise the options and select to NOT uninstall the previous versions.
When you install both copies of Office to be installed on 1 machine that switching between Word 2003 and Word 2007 will result in an install dialog box coming up. See
How to get rid of the installer / configuration dialog when running Office 2007 and Office 2003 on the same system - for Vista and other versions of Windows to fix this.
For more support information, look at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928091 which details the install order and any key requirements

Free Outlook addins

CodeTwo PST Ghostbuster - Duplicate PST remover

Free tool for removing duplicated PST files (ghost files) from Outlook.
CodeTwo PST Ghostbuster is a free tool for removing duplicated PST files (ghost files) from Outlook.
In some cases the PST file can appear twice in Outlook. Its contents are then shown twice on the folder list (Fig.1) and in other folder views (Fig.2), which can make work much harder.
When trying to delete the duplicated PST file from the profile, a message: "There was an error. Object was not found" appears (Fig.3) and the only way to remove it is to create a new Outlook profile. In many cases this is unacceptable due to the settings, that may be lost: email accounts, signatures, user-defined views and forms.
If the Close button from the PST file context menu is disabled, PST Ghostbuster will not be able to remove the PST file from the profile. In that case, please read this solution. Thanks to CodeTwo PST Ghostbuster, the duplicated PST file can be easily fixed and removed from the profile.

Reset your Microsoft Office 2003 Serial Number

From time to time I will come across a machine that has a pirated office serial number. Microsoft checks your serial number before allowing you to download updates for Windows, and Office.
You simply need to drill down to this registry key (As always backup your registry before messing with it):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Registration\{90110407-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}
See the two values: ProductID, and DigitalProductID? Delete them.
Now run launch any office application, and you will be prompted for the new serial number.
