How to save multiple Web pages in one ZIP file

How to save multiple Web pages in one ZIP file

  1. Download and install the SingleCore extension. This is required to use ZipTabs, but you don't need to do any more than install it.

  1. Download and install ZipTabs

  1. Restart Chrome.

  1. When you've got a set of tabs open to Web pages you want to save, just click the ZipTabs icon in the upper right and select which open tabs to save.

Step 4: Select tabs to save.

  1. Select a name for the ZIP file, then click "OK."

  1. When the ZIP file is created (it can take a little while), it is saved to Chrome's download folder. This can't be changed, though you can point Chrome toward a different folder in its Options settings.

That's it. Your ZIP file is easy to save and share.

Google Chrome Bookmarks Location

Google Chrome Bookmarks Location

Inside the "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default" directory are two files. "Bookmarks", and "Bookmarks.bak".

One is for your current bookmarks, and the other one (with the .bak extension) signifies that it is a bookmarks backup, if anything goes wrong. Bookmarks.bak gets overwritten every time you close Chrome.

Download videos from the Web through VSO Downloader

How to automatically download videos from the Web

It's possible to do so through most browsers, but it can be a pain. VSO Downloader is a standalone program that monitors your viewing and automatically saves a copy of any video you watch to your hard drive. Here's how to use it:

Step 1. Download and install VSO Downloader.

Step 2. Launch VSO Downloader before you start watching videos, and minimize it to the system tray, if you'd like.

Step 3. When you start watching a new video clip, the program will automatically detect it and start to download. It works with thousands of sites and all the major browsers, but you may find that some videos remain undetected.

Step 3: Automatically download detected videos.

Step 4. If you'd rather pick which videos are downloaded, click "Options," then "Settings," then select "Download settings." Uncheck the box next to "Download automatically detected media." From now on, you'll need to instruct VSO Downloader which videos to download. You can also change the folder to which video save.

Step 4: Change download settings.

If you're feeling adventurous, you may want to tinker with the more-advanced download and detection settings, but I found the defaults to work fine.
